Job summary

Akumin seeks a Scheduling Coordinator for our Duluth and Marietta facilities. You will verify patient pre-scan requirements, obtain authorizations if needed, ensure orders are compliant, and schedule exams efficiently.

You will maximize site schedules, act as liaison between Operations, Scheduling, and Revenue teams, and handle additional duties as assigned.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of medical or related field experience required.
• Experience in Front Desk, Scheduling or Eligibility/Authorization preferred.
• Experience as a scheduler in a multi-modality environment encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Check patients pre-scan to ensure authorization is obtained and the order is compliant.
• Schedule exams and maximize site schedule efficiency.
• Act as liaison between scheduling and other departments.
