Akumin Inc. is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator for our Duluth and Marietta, GA locations. This full-time role focuses on pre-scan checks, ensuring necessary authorizations, and accurate scheduling to optimize site calendars.

You will coordinate between Operations, Scheduling, and Revenue teams, requiring 1–2 years in a medical setting and strong communication in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with eRAD, Intergy, and Fuji scheduling systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in medical or related field.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience in the medical field- Front Desk, Scheduling, Eligibility/Authorization.

Responsibilities

• Check patients pre-scan to ensure that authorization is obtained and the exam is scheduled properly.
• Maximize efficiency and optimization of site schedules.
• Act as a liaison between scheduling and other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

This will be a full time position.**The **Schedule Coordinator** checks patients pre-scan to ensure that, authorization (if needed) is obtained, order is compliant, and the exam is scheduled properly. Works to optimize schedules by rescheduling patients who aren’t cleared and filling empty exam times with cleared patients.
