Job summary

Outcome HC in Philadelphia is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to maintain and update residents' medical records and compile data required by the DOH and Federal regulations.

You will assemble and supervise medical records, perform QA for completeness and accuracy, notify physicians, coordinate with social workers, manage indexing and storage, and provide data for audits and quality assurance. This role requires independence and attention to detail in a busy healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate with 3 years in a healthcare setting.
• Preference for accreditation by the American Medical Record Association.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and supervise medical records in proper order.
• Perform QA for completeness/accuracy after admission/discharge.
• Notify the physician to complete records per facility policy.
• Maintain indexes (deceased, discharge) per classification systems.
• Provide data/reports to Quality Assurance Committee as requested.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant storage and controlled release of PHI.
• Coordinate with social workers and other supervisors to finish records.
