Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Records Scanning Clerk to manage discharge records, organize documents, and assist with health information requests. You will perform scanning, indexing, and quality checks to ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements.

The role requires at least 6 months of HIM-related experience with cross-training in prep, scanning, or indexing and data integrity tasks.

Qualificações

• 6 months experience within HIM preferred and cross trained in two functions (prep, scanning or indexing, EMR, data integrity, transcription, data entry or system testing).
• Preferred: certificate or degree from college/technical school or 3–6 months related experience or training.

Responsabilidades

• Accounts for records upon discharge and follows up to locate missing records.
• Assembles records into proper chart order and prepares them for processing.
• Scans patient records and loose sheets to patient encounters.
• Indexes patient records to ensure scanning quality and procedure compliance.
• Handles reception and processing of requests for all chart information.
• Retrieves records and loose sheets from floors for processing.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
