The Medical Records Technician maintains the medical records filing system for the Long Term Care Services division in accordance with established procedures and the standards of accrediting and regulatory agencies. This position maintains medical records for the Rockingham County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and the Ernest P. Barka Assisted Living Community. We are committed to providing preventative and restorative care to all residents and clients here at Rockingham County. The Medical Records Technician is responsible for ensuring medical records are accurate, complete, confidential, and properly filed. Responsibilities include safeguarding client and resident records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards, creating electronic charts upon admission, and following up to ensure records are complete and in proper order. This position also creates digital images of documents for storage in the electronic medical record system. Must be able to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position and department.
