Job summary

Advantmed is hiring enthusiastic Medical Records Technicians for a part-time, seasonal role that involves visiting medical facilities to scan patient records. Laptops and portable scanners are provided and travel is required.

The role focuses on maintaining organized records, HIPAA compliance, and using EHR/EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech. Must have a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to drive 60–80 miles per trip.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a car with active insurance in the applicant’s name.
• Internet access at home and basic PC skills.
• Ability to travel to medical facilities up to 60–80 miles round trip.
• Experience with EHR/EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a record system for patient information and gathering documents.
• Use electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data.
• Ensure medical records are organized, accurate, and complete.
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically.
• File reports quickly and accurately.
• Ensure HIPAA standards are met and confidentiality guidelines followed.
• Interact with healthcare staff and other personnel.
• Able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
