Job summary

Northlake Behavioral Health System is seeking a Health Information Department Supervisor to lead the HID team and ensure accurate, complete medical records.

This is a brand-new supervisory role in a paper-chart hospital preparing for an EHR. You will map current workflows, inventory records, and plan for scanning, indexing, and organizing decades of paper records while maintaining compliance and readiness for surveys and regulatory review.

Qualifications

• RHIT or RHIA credentialed; new graduates welcome.
• Or 3-5+ years of medical records experience and enrollment in RHIT or RHIA program.
• Behavioral health experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, analyze, file, scan and process medical records; track chart deficiencies.
• Respond to requests; step in wherever the department needs you.
• Release of information, subpoenas, and court orders handling.
• Manage records for minors; prepare leadership reports; survey readiness.
• Map workflows, inventory records, and plan for future EHR implementation.
