Qualifications

• 2+ years in medical records or similar role preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology and administrative processes.
• Proficient in information management programs and MS Office.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility's medical records with accuracy, safety and confidentiality.
• Collect patient information and issue medical files.
• File medical records and process resident admissions and discharges.
• Obtain necessary signatures and coordinate chart completion.
• Ensure proper disposal of medical records per policy.
• Gather patient demographic and personal information.
• Assist with departmental audits and investigations.
• Distribute charts to appropriate departments.
• Maintain quality and accurate records per procedures.
