Siouxland Community Health Center is seeking a Medical Records Data & Referral Clerk to join our team in Sioux City, IA. This full-time position handles patient records, data entry, and referrals within the EMR system.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong verbal and written communication, and solid organizational skills to manage calls, document indexing, and releases efficiently.

Responsabilidades

• Answer all incoming calls into the medical records department.
• Fax provider orders to appropriate agencies daily, immediately upon receipt.
• Scan and index documents into the EMR to ensure documents are indexed within 72 hours after scanned to enhance access to records for the clinical staff.
• Monitor team follow up referral desktop daily to remove completed referrals and send provider a flag for all incomplete referrals.
• Mail or fax all releases for records requested from outside agencies within 1 week of receipt.
• These functions are not all inclusive.

Successful candidate must have solid experience & advanced knowledge of:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Strong alphabetical and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
