Qualifications

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy helpful.
• Able to review and verify coding accuracy against documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review system edits and assign appropriate codes from coding classifications.
• Prepare reports for designated leaders and stakeholders.
• Review codes created by electronic charge capture and correct as needed.
• Complete system edit reviews and ensure timely transmittal of claims.
• Troubleshoot problems preventing claims release and resolve root causes.
• Communicate with internal customers and external vendors for clarification when documentation is incomplete.
