Qualifications

• 1 year hospital or physician coding experience
• Completion of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology coding courses
• RHIT/RHIA/CCS-P/CPC/COC/CPC-A credentials preferred
• Strong data entry and computer skills
• Ability to collaborate with care teams

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medical information to assign ICD-10 CM/CPT codes
• Abstract data elements for statistical requests and enter into designated system
• Manage unbilled coding reports to support cash flow
• Stay updated on ICD-10 CM/CPT guideline changes through training and clinics
• Perform additional duties as assigned
