Job summary

Compass Intervention Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to process release of information requests and assemble patient charts. You will maintain strict confidentiality, handle records workflows, and support staff in a busy health care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (hospital records preferred).
• 1–3 years in medical records preferred.
• Detail-oriented and well organized.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiar with HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process release of information requests.
• Assemble charts upon discharge and file records.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Answer calls and route messages as appropriate.
• Communicate with staff and physicians regarding records workflow.
