Job summary

Centurion is seeking a full-time Medical Records Clerk at Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, IL. You will maintain offender health records, retrieve records for appointments, file data, and initiate records for new intakes.

The role requires a high school diploma or bachelor's degree, CPR/BLS certification, and potentially RHIA/RHIT; a background check is required, and shift is 7 AM–3 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree.
• RHIA or RHIT certification preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with medical records and services.
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance (drug screen and background check).

Responsibilities

• Maintains offender health records and files records as required.
• Retrieves health records for scheduled appointments.
• Initiates records for new or transferred intakes.
• Prepares reports as needed and more.
