The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for the safekeeping of patient records, managing incoming and outgoing medical and dental records requests, scanning, assigning, and saving patient information, and maintaining the integrity of the records storage area through a team-based approach. The Medical Records Clerk approaches his/her tasks in a team-based care fashion that supports patients and their families in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change.
