Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Two (2) years' medical records experience in a Behavioral Health setting preferred.
• Cerner experience highly preferred.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
• Effective communication skills.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Monitors reports in Cerner to identify delinquent charts.
• Identify patterns and trends in documentation and report to the appropriate department.
• Provide education to providers on the timeliness and accuracy of documentation.
• Communicate with physicians by all available means to facilitate completion of chart prior to delinquency date.
