Job summary

Outfield-Healthcare-Partners in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Central Supply/Medical Records professional to maintain resident medical records in accordance with State and Federal regulations, professional standards of practice, and company policy.

The role ensures the management and accuracy of medical resident records from pre-admission to post-discharge, with a focus on ICD coding, compliance, and timely audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical records experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting.
• ICD coding knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, laws, and long-term care regulations.
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, physicians and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage resident health information from pre-admission to post-discharge.
• Ensure accurate ICD coding to optimize billing and cash flow.
• Develop and implement procedures for collection, coding, indexing, and filing of records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and HIPAA regulations.
• Prepare reports for QA and performance improvement committees.
