Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Collierville, TN is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to initiate and maintain patient medical records in systematic formats, written and/or computerized, and provide administrative support to billing/financial and clinical admin areas of the Womens Health Center.

Responsibilities include understanding the importance of the medical record, ensuring completeness for patient care, and achieving assigned goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly in English, in writing and verbally.
• At least 6 months of medical records experience in a patient care setting.
• Basic computer literacy and customer service skills.
• Desired: 12 months of medical records experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and maintains patient medical records in systematic formats, written and/or computerized.
• Provides administrative office support to billing/financial and clinical administrative areas of the Women’s Health Center.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the importance of the patient medical record.
• Demonstrates computer proficiency in all software systems used in the medical record department.
• Completes assigned goals.
