Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a friendly Medical Office Receptionist for a Urology practice in Connecticut. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, register patients, verify insurance, collect copays, and handle referrals and chart prep to keep the office running smoothly.

Day-to-day you will coordinate with providers and staff, review pre-authorization requirements, manage faxes, and provide clerical support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols in order to maximize provider productivity.

Description:

You would be responsible for ensuring patient flow within the practice by performing all business functions such as greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, patient registration, insurance verification, copay and point of service collections, pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, chart prep, manage incoming and outgoing faxes as well as provide clerical support to providers and staff.

This position supports a Urology specialty office. What you will do:
