MUST:
Experienced Medical Receptionist
1+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
1+ years of experience working in a physician's medical practice
1+ years of experience working in Pediatrics
Must possess exceptional customer service skills
Must be able to work independently and on a team
Must have problem solving skills
Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good knowledge of MS Office and EMR ECW experience
Ability to undertake a variety of diverse tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
Fluency in Spanish a plus
DUTIES:
Greeting patients as they arrive at the office
Confirming insurance eligibility
Answering the phones and sending messages through the office electronic medical record
Collecting co-pays and other patient payments
Scheduling appointments
Checking benefits for office procedures and surgeries
Keeping the reception area clean and organized
Contacting insurance companies regarding issues with medical claims
Sending out patient invoices and other patient correspondence
Other duties as assigned
