Job summary

Bourne Galletly Medical Practice in Bourne, MA is seeking a part-time Receptionist to welcome patients, manage check-in, direct queries, and support clinicians.

You will handle appointments, triage messages via AccuRx Total Triage, process registrations, and maintain confidentiality. Flexibility to cover for colleagues during annual leave and occasional late shifts is required. On-site parking available.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors to the Practice, ensuring they are properly checked-in, or signed in as appropriate, and know where to go
• Direct patients to submit requests for assistance with both medical needs and administration requests via the NHS App or Bourne Galletly Medical Practice Website, or complete requests on their behalf
• Book routine nursing appointments and recalls ensuring sufficient information is recorded
• Receive and make calls as required, divert calls and take messages while following confidentiality policies
• Work with the Duty GP to manage triage requests quickly, accurately and effectively
• Ensure the efficiency of the appointment system and patient flow through waiting areas into clinics
