Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of the UnitedHealth Group family, has an immediate opening for a friendly Medical Receptionist to greet patients, schedule appointments, and manage check-in/out. This full-time role (40 hours/week) operates Monday–Friday with potential local coverage across nearby practices.

You will use the EHR system, handle payments, maintain demographics, and balance deposits while protecting patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1+ years of receptionist or customer service experience.
• Intermediate level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct check-in and check-out process
• Answer incoming calls and use EHR to document details of patient inquiries
• Conduct outreach to patients requiring appointments or service follow-up
• Manage administrative in-basket pools and work queues
• Scan documents into the EHR per standard protocols
• Balance payments and prepare deposits
• Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal and financial information
• Provide coverage at other ProHealth locations on an ad hoc basis
• Perform other duties as assigned
