Job summary

Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth is seeking a Medical Receptionist for the Dodson Medical Office Building. You will greet patients, handle intake and checkout, and maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling and registering patients, and handling billing and payments while following clinic policies. Prior EPIC experience and strong communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.

Summary: The Medical Receptionist is responsible for greeting the patients and establishing a friendly and positive in-take and check out encounter for each patient's visit requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changes in both staffing levels and patient volumes. The receptionist is responsible for maintaining patient flow, answering phones promptly and courteously, scheduling, registering, billing and payment collection activities for clinic patients while following all applicable policies and procedures. They will successfully learn and understand diversified insurance plans and medical terminology.

Education & Experience:

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Customer service experience required.

Experience with EPIC preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills.

Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public and physician.

Hours:

Monday to Friday : 8:00am to 5:00pm
