Nebraska Medicine is hiring a Medical Receptionist for the Durham Outpatient Center Internal Medicine Clinic in Omaha, NE. You will greet patients, handle phone calls, schedule appointments and register patients, ensuring accurate data entry and a courteous, confidential experience.

Full-time role, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, at 4400 Emile St, Omaha. Nebraska Medicine supports education and career growth, plus a 35% Clarkson College discount and tuition assistance up to $5,000/year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years of age and strong customer service experience.
• Ability to interact professionally with doctors, clinic staff and patients.

Responsible for answering incoming calls in a professional manner, and/or checking in / out patients per established protocols. Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and registering patients.Required Qualifications:• Minimum of 16 years of age required.• Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service to physicians, patients and other internal/external customers required.• Ability to work professionally with physicians, clinic staff and patients in a timely, confidential manner required.• Demonstrated analytical, prioritization and organizational skills required.• Demonstrated flexibility and dedication to team environment required.• Effective communication skills required.Preferred Qualifications:• High school education or equivalent preferred.• One year post-secondary education with coursework in business, medical assistant program or nursing assistant program OR equivalent combination of education/experience in customer service or medical scheduling related capacity (one year of education equals one year of experience) preferred.• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel preferred.• Depending on the position available, fluency in Spanish preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
