Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep for the Primary Medicine Team in Southbury. The role focuses on patient flow, greeting patients, phone support, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, copay collections, pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, chart prep, and fax handling.

You will provide clerical support to providers and staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology helpful.
• Excellent keyboard skills and proficiency in Windows-based computer environments and MS Office applications; accuracy and dependability essential.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients in person or by phone in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers phones promptly using appropriate scripting and routes calls to the proper staff member.
• Processes calls to transfer patients to appropriate staff or providers in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to join our Primary Medicine Team located in Southbury.

The Business Services Representative is responsible for ensuring patient flow within the practice by performing all business functions such as greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, patient registration, insurance verification, copay and point of service collections, pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, chart prep, manage incoming and outgoing faxes as well as provide clerical support to providers and staff.

What you will do:

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred
• Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required.
