Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to support our Surgical Oncology team. The role focuses on patient flow, greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and copay collections.

Responsibilities include patient registration, pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, chart prep, fax management, and clerical support to providers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows-based systems and MS Office; accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients in person or by phone in a courteous, professional manner.
• Answers phones promptly and routes to appropriate staff.
• Schedules patient appointments per department protocols; manages registration.
• Verifies insurance, handles copays, pre-certifications, referrals, and chart prep; manages faxes.

Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is looking for a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep to join our Surgical Oncology team.

The Business Services Representative is responsible for ensuring patient flow within the practice by performing all business functions such as greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, patient registration, insurance verification, copay and point of service collections, pre-certifications, prior authorizations, referrals, chart prep, manage incoming and outgoing faxes as well as provide clerical support to providers and staff.

What you will do:

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience within a medical office or billing department preferred. Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred
• Excellent keyboard skills. Requires proficiency in a Windows based computer environment and Microsoft Office products. Accuracy and dependability required.
