Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient front office environment. This position requires strong administrative skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes
  • Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Verify insurance information and collect co-pays
  • Respond to billing and insurance inquiries
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for medical staff
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
  • Support general administrative tasks to ensure smooth office operations
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of front desk experience in a medical office or clinic
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical office protocols
  • Experience verifying insurance and collecting co-pays
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with radiology or working in a radiology practice

Shift Details:
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some flexibility available)
  • This is a contract position with the potential for permanent hire, though conversion is not guaranteed
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.76 - $22.00/hr.
