Job summary

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers in Owings Mills, MD is seeking a Full-Time Medical Receptionist to greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and maintain accurate records in the EMR. The role includes handling phones, payments, and general administrative duties in a busy urgent care environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, at least one year of customer service experience (preferably medical), and scheduling flexibility including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with medical office software is a plus.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Ability to stand, walk long periods, lift 25 lbs and work 13+ hour shifts.
• Scheduling flexibility including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to comply with the company travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, update demographics, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate records in the EMR.
• Answer telephone calls, record messages, and redirect calls as needed.
• Collect patient payments and manage payment transactions.
• Assist with faxes, emails, and office organization.
• Maintain a clean and professional environment, and a welcoming waiting area.

• Phone management: Answer telephone calls, record messages, and accurately re-direct calls as needed
• Payment processing: Collect patient payments and manage payment transactions
• Administrative tasks: Assist with faxes, emails, and office organization
• Office upkeep: Maintain a clean and professional environment, and maintain a welcoming waiting area
• Education:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Licenses & Certifications:
