Athena Care is seeking a Medical Receptionist for our Nashville clinic to provide coverage from Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM.

Description

The Medical Receptionist is the initial point of contact when a patient arrives and represents the office. The role involves greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction.

Core Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet incoming patients and assist with check-in process
• Answer calls or contact forms from patients professionally and courteously
• Follow scheduling procedures and complete intake processes, supporting clients and providers as needed
• Provide superior customer service through all contact modes
• Ensure compliance with policies and confidentiality (OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, etc.)
• Identify and resolve client needs and issues to ensure quality service
• Handle inquiries following contact center protocols
• Complete administrative tasks to keep the office organized and presentable
• Communicate effectively within the organization, providing updates on tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-year healthcare experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• None required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Verbal communication, phone skills, listening, data entry, people skills, informing, customer focus, attention to detail, professionalism, multi-tasking

Physical Requirements:

• Primarily sedentary office duties with limited reaching, pulling, pushing, or carrying
