Job Title:

Medical Receptionist (Murfreesboro, TN)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (onsite)

Job Summary:

This position involves coordinating appointment scheduling for consumers and Medical Operations, along with providing administrative support to Medical Operations staff.

Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and coordinate scheduling of new and return appointments, ensuring effective communication among staff.
  2. Arrange transportation for return appointments as needed, assisting consumers with communication with transportation providers.
  3. Answer phones promptly and courteously, and retrieve messages as needed.
  4. Manage professional calendars and schedules for Medical Operations.
  5. Prepare and distribute daily appointment schedules to staff.
  6. Ensure consumers are checked and attended to promptly, avoiding extended wait times.
  7. Maintain a friendly customer service attitude.
  8. Provide administrative support such as faxing, filing, and mail distribution.
  9. Keep the lobby, kitchen, and desk areas tidy.
  10. Assist with insurance verification, including scanning insurance cards, verifying coverage, and reporting errors.
  11. Handle co-pays and make change as needed.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Previous healthcare administrative experience preferred.
  3. Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
  4. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  5. Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation.
  6. Personal Automobile Insurance.
