Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA and health information management standards.
  • Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and assist patients.
  • Record demographic, insurance, and financial information accurately.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and explain payment policies and billing procedures.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and overdue balances.
  • Retrieve and send medical records to providers and insurance companies as requested.
  • Answer calls, take messages, and manage voicemails.
  • Provide necessary clerical support.
  • Adhere to the company's core values of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality care, and friendliness.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Preferences

  • Experience in a medical office and familiarity with basic medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Outgoing and compassionate attitude required.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
