Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for a day-shift role in a busy vascular surgery practice. You will provide nursing assessments, triage calls and timely patient care, while supporting the care team with education and coordination.

Requirements include an ADN with Michigan RN licensure; BSN preferred. If new grad, RN residency opportunities are available and enrollment in BSN within 6 months is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• 1 year of RN experience required if new grad; RN residency opportunities occur three times yearly.

Position Summary

A variety of shared responsibilities in a busy practice. Utilizes nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines in a decision-making capacity to provide timely and efficient patient care.

What you will do

• Telephone triage
• Medication Refill
• New consult evaluation
• Patient education
• Performs clerical functions, all functions of a Medical Assistant, and environmental duties to support team objectives

What you will need

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
• Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
• 1 years of experience as an RN required if new grad must apply to RN residency that takes place three times a year in February, July and October
• Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred
