Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Day Shift in our vascular surgery practice. This full-time role includes triage, patient education, medication refills, and clerical support to the care team.

The position requires an ADN with RN licensure in Michigan; BSN preferred. New grads may pursue RN residency; ADN holders must enroll in BSN within 6 months and finish within 4 years.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• 1 year RN experience required for new grads to apply to RN residency ( Feb/Jul/Oct).
• Specialty credentialing preferred depending on clinical area.

Position Summary

A variety of shared responsibilities in a busy practice. Utilizes nursing assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines in a decision-making capacity to provide timely and efficient patient care.

What you will do

• Telephone triage
• Medication Refill
• Patient education
• Performs clerical functions, all functions of a Medical Assistant, and environmental duties to support team objectives

What you will need

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
• Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
• 1 years of experience as an RN required if new grad must apply to RN residency that takes place three times a year in February, July and October
• Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty area preferred
