Job summary

Nemours is seeking an administrative professional to facilitate access to care by scheduling patients across sites and maximizing template utilization. The role requires daily support to the clinical team and coordination of projects to improve operations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; associates or bachelor's degree preferred but experience considered.
  • Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Solid conflict resolution skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily oversight of divisional clinical schedules.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely follow-up care and optimize schedules.
  • Collect, document demographic, insurance, and clinical information required for patient care and revenue.
  • Manage communications with patients, referring physicians, insurance companies, etc.; triage urgent/non-urgent calls.
  • Connect crisis calls to proper next steps including crisis resources.
  • Utilize EPIC and Qlik reporting tools to assess schedule responsibilities.
  • Serve as liaison between patient, healthcare providers, other members of healthcare team, financial services, billing, and HIM.
  • Daily, open, categorize and distribute incoming correspondence, including mail, faxes, scanned documents.
  • Physical onsite presence as required by Division.
  • Proactively identify problems and opportunities.

Job description

Primary Functions:

Facilitate access to care. This includes scheduling of patients at all Nemours sites of service. Maximize template utilization. Manage wait lists and referral work queues to ensure it meets established metrics.

Provide daily administrative support to assigned members of the clinical team; including the Division Chief. Assist in the coordination and support of enterprise/departmental/divisional projects and initiative which further

Essential Functions:
  • Provide daily oversight of divisional clinical schedules.
  • Partner with clinical teams to ensure timely follow-up care for patients to optimize schedules, access, and fill rates.
  • Collect, communicate, and document demographic, insurance and/or clinical information required for patient care and revenue cycle.
  • Promptly and courteously manage communications to/from internal and external customers including patients, referring physicians, insurance companies, etc. Triage urgent/non-urgent calls appropriately. Ensure service excellence in all encounters.
  • Connect crisis calls to proper next steps including crisis resources and mobile crisis.
  • Utilizing EPIC and Qlik reporting tools to assess schedule responsibilities.
  • Serve as a liaison between patient, healthcare providers, other members of healthcare team, financial services, billing, and HIM.
  • Daily, open, categorize and distribute incoming correspondence, including mail, faxes, scanned documents, etc.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred, but will consider equivalent years’ experience.

Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality. Intermediate knowledge of word processing and excel.
