Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Medical Physics or related field.
• Board certification or eligibility in therapeutic medical physics (ABR).
• Experience with Varian equipment.

• Familiarity with Eclipse treatment planning system.
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists.
• Provide technical expertise for safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy.
• Participate in implementing new treatment techniques and technologies (VMAT, SBRT, adaptive therapy).
• Maintain accurate records of all aspects of the radiation therapy process.
• Ensure compliance with NRC and state health department regulations.
• Provide education and training to staff on equipment and techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
