Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a qualified Medical Physicist Oncology to lead dosage planning and quality assurance for advanced radiotherapy techniques. The role requires collaboration with Radiation Oncologists and engineers to ensure safe, accurate delivery of HDR, LDR, SRS, and related procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Medical Physics, 3+ years in oncology medical physics, and ABMP/ABR/CCPM credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Medical Physics or related field.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in Medical Physicist Oncology.
• Strong knowledge of treatment units and imaging devices; QA, calibration, and commissioning of linacs and brachytherapy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment planning for HDR, LDR, and SRS procedures.
• Calibrate therapy machines and perform QA on equipment.
• Develop QA programs and collaborate with physicians to improve processes.
• Assist with imaging and data management for dose calculations and planning.
