Job summary

Southcoast Health in southeastern Massachusetts invites a skilled Medical Oncologist to join our Cancer Center team in Fairhaven and Fall River. You will diagnose and treat cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies, developing personalized treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient care.

You will collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists and a multidisciplinary team, and communicate clearly with patients and families about care plans, progress, and expectations.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
• Current state medical license and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments while developing and monitoring personalized treatment plans.
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians regarding care plans and progress.

Hours: Full-time

Shift: Day – weekend, holiday, on-call. Will be in hospital on call rotation including weekends & holidays

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians regarding care plans and progress.

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology with completion of a US residency.
• Current state medical license and DEA registration.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and effective communication skills.
