Job summary

Ozark Center is seeking a Float Medical Records Clerk for the MOSS/Float program at the outlying office. This role performs clerical support, medical records, and admissions tasks while traveling to multiple sites as needed.

You will interact daily with individuals affected by behavioral health issues and contribute to a trauma-informed care approach. The position reports to the Clinical Support Team Leader.

Qualifications

• One year of medical clerical or medical records experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical office clerical role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls, check messages, and distribute them.
• Maintain clinical scheduling calendars.
• Create client electronic medical records and complete financial paperwork.
• Collect payments for services at time of appointment.
• Scan releases, insurance cards, and IDs into EMR.
• Audit, scan, and close EMR documentation.
• Cover other support areas when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
