Job summary

BayCare is hiring a Medical Office Representative - Float Team to join our Tampa Bay multi-specialty group. The role supports the physician's office health care team by greeting patients, collecting information, scheduling appointments, and assisting with billing and inquiries.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position requiring 3 days per week, Monday through Friday with typical 8:00 AM–5:00 PM hours (may vary). Travel throughout Pinellas and/or Pasco County may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and signs in patients.
• Obtains patient information.
• Schedules patient appointments.
• Assists with patient inquiries.
• May arrange for other procedures.
• Collects and posts payments.
• Assists patients with billing questions.
• Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout.

Position Details:

• Location: Required to travel throughout Pinellas and/or Pasco County
• Status: Part Time (non-exempt); 3 days/week
• Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM (May Vary)
• Weekend Work:None

RequiredEducation:

• High School or Equivalent

Experience:

• Required 6 months of healthcare
• Or 6 months of Customer Service
