Job summary

Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Medical Office Licensed Practical Nurse for the West Union Family Health Center. The LPN will support providers with patient exams, collect vitals, document histories, and handle e-prescriptions and referrals.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork with the health care team are essential. The role includes daily office operations, chart reviews, and coordination of care across the health team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing required.
• Licensed to practice as an LPN (state) required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• One to three months experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with patient exams and procedures.
• Collect patient vitals and medical histories.
• Perform basic LPN duties in physician office operations.
• Manage phone lines, scheduling, and prescriptions.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment maintained.
• Review charts for next day appointments.
• Maintain patient medication lists and documentation.
• Coordinate with insurance for pre-authorizations.
