Job summary

ExamWorks, based in Oakland, is seeking a Medical Office Assistant for an entry-level clerical role. The position offers a $24 to $25 hourly pay range and opportunities to learn in a structured clinic setting.

You will greet examinees, manage phone calls, prepare charts, escort patients, and support clinicians while maintaining a clean lobby and on-schedule workflows. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state Driver’s License and be able to perform day travel as required with reliable transportation.
• Have a High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Proficiency in multiple software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and checking in examinees in a professional and friendly manner.
• Answering phones and directing calls appropriately.
• Preparing charts and paperwork for appointments.
• Escorting examinees to exam rooms.
• Helping maintain a clean, organized lobby area.
• Assisting physicians and clinic staff as needed.
• Monitoring workflows and ensuring appointments stay on schedule.
• Supporting the Clinic Director with administrative tasks.
• Participating in training and learning opportunities.
