The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) performs office administration duties, including clerical and operational support to physicians and the practice. This role may also perform limited clinical duties. Duties are assigned as needed to assist with daily clinic operations. Responsibilities include interacting with patients in person and over the phone, faxing, filing, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and conducting referrals.

Required: Effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients of different age groups. Ability to model sensitivity to patients, including effective telephone and verbal communication in emergency situations. Good oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in keyboard and computer skills. CPR certification required within 90 days of employment.
Preferred: Experience with electronic medical records systems and previous medical receptionist experience.

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the stated hourly rate range. The pay range may vary based on specialty if applicable. Non-exempt positions may have shift differentials and overtime pay if applicable.
Pay range: Hourly Rate $17.56 - $24.24
