Job Overview

The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical duties and some administrative functions under the supervision of medical providers. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, taking patient histories, and assisting with various procedures.

Requirements
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across different age groups.
  • Ability to model sensitivity to patients and communicate effectively in emergencies.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass all competencies related to Medical Assistant duties.
  • Current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care for patients from neonate to geriatric.
  • Excellent customer relations skills, avoiding conflicts and undue anxiety.
  • Keyboard and computer skills.
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Preferred but not required: Medical Assistant certification, Emergency Medical Technician certification, or current Certified Nursing Assistant.
