Job summary

Vantedge Medical Company in Rancho Cordova seeks an experienced NPI Project Manager to lead new product introductions at our site. You will coordinate quote support, DFMs, design transfer, production ramp, and handoff to Operations, working across Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Manufacturing.

This hands-on role combines project management with manufacturing engineering in large-format CNC machining and assembly of medical capital equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience, incl. 2 years leading NPI projects.
• Hands-on process experience in CNC machining, MIG/TIG welding, sheet metal fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
• Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment with first article inspection and quality requirements, preferred.
• Experience with large-format machining, weldments, medical capital equipment, or facility expansion projects preferred.
• CAD proficiency, PMP certification, or Lean/Six Sigma training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead NPI programs through quote handoff, customer kickoff, DFM, process development, first article, qualification, production ramp-up, and transition to Operations.
• At kickoff, establish launch criteria with Operations, Quality, and Engineering for production rate, quality, cost, and sustained performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, critical paths, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.
• Identify schedule, cost, quality, and capacity risks early; coordinate recovery plans and escalate decisions.
• Coordinate Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Planning, Operations, Supply Chain, Safety, and other teams to meet commitments.
• Lead site growth projects, including equipment acquisition and installation, capacity expansion, layout changes, and facility improvements.
