Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an on-site paralegal to support medical malpractice litigation alongside a lead attorney. The role involves drafting and e-filing pleadings, researching statutes, and organizing medical records to aid case strategy.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a legal setting; medical malpractice a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage a demanding workload with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn filing requirements of state courts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare, and e-file legal documents in state and federal court
• Conduct legal research and summarize key deadlines
• Request, organize, and summarize medical records
• Prepare discovery documents and maintain indexes
• Coordinate depositions and assist with witness prep
• Support medical expert coordination and communication
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits with the legal assistant
• Liaise with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and records vendors
• Assist with case settlements and other duties as assigned
