The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a paralegal role, strong drafting and proofreading skills, proficiency with MS Office and Adobe tools, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years paralegal or legal assistant experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, or civil litigation.
• Knowledge of legal procedures, court filing requirements, and litigation timelines.
• Experience with client intake processes and case lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with document scanning equipment (Scan Snap).
• Ability to draft and proofread legal documents with high accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all stages of medical malpractice litigation, including case intake, discovery, and trial prep.
• Gather and organize client medical records, insurance information, and relevant documents.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status, deadlines, and next steps.
• Maintain case files and track deadlines in litigation calendars.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and motions.
• Coordinate expert witnesses and manage document production.
• Calendar management and deposition preparation.
