Job summary

Legal Search Solutions, LLC in North Palm Beach seeks an on-site Paralegal for our Litigation Team focused on medical malpractice. You will own cases from pre-suit through trial and support attorneys with pleadings, motions, discovery, and case organization.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in plaintiff-side medical malpractice, proficiency with case management software, Microsoft Office, and Adobe, with Litify a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience; plaintiff-side medical malpractice experience strongly preferred.
• Technology: Proficiency with case management software, Microsoft Office products, and Adobe; Litify experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of medical malpractice cases, from pre-suit through trial.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and other litigation documents.
• Draft and coordinate discovery requests and responses, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Obtain, organize, review, and summarize medical records, billing records, and other case-related documentation.
• Prepare medical chronologies, case summaries, timelines, and other materials to assist attorneys with case evaluation and strategy.
• Assist with identifying, retaining, and coordinating medical and other expert witnesses.
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and litigation vendors regarding case-related matters.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, inspections, and other litigation events.
• Track discovery, court deadlines, expert deadlines, and other critical case milestones.
• Prepare deposition, mediation, hearing, and trial materials, including exhibits and case files.
• Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure the case management system is accurate and up to date.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness and exhibit organization, subpoenas, demonstratives, and trial materials.
• Proactively monitor assigned cases and follow up on outstanding records, discovery, expert materials, and other time-sensitive items.
