Job summary
Morgan & Morgan in Lakeland, FL seeks a paralegal to support medical malpractice litigation alongside a lead attorney. You will draft, file, and organize pleadings and other documents, perform legal research, and coordinate with clients, courts, and medical providers.

Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a legal setting; malpractice exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records review is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and e-file pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Conduct legal research and track deadlines.
- Request, organize, and summarize medical records; prepare medical chronologies.
- Prepare and respond to discovery documents.
- Coordinate depositions and assist with witness prep.
- Support medical expert coordination.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and appendices with the legal assistant.
- Liaise between trial teams and clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors.
- Assist with case settlements and other duties as assigned.
