Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a paralegal to support its Complex Litigation team in Tampa. The role involves drafting and e-filing documents, researching, and managing medical records and discovery, with close collaboration across clients, courts, and vendors.

Requirements include 1+ year in a legal setting, familiarity with medical terminology, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. On-site role with robust benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a legal setting (litigation, personal injury, or Complex Litigation a plus).
• Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records review is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a demanding workload with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work within procedural and filing requirements of state courts.
• Associate's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare, and e-file legal documents in state and federal court.
• Conduct legal research and track deadlines.
• Request, organize, and summarize medical records; prepare medical chronologies.
• Prepare and respond to discovery; maintain pleadings, discovery, and exhibit indexes.
• Coordinate depositions, summarize transcripts, and assist with witness preparation.
• Support medical expert coordination and communication.
• Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and appendices with the legal assistant.
• Liaise between trial teams and clients, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and records vendors.
• Assist with case settlements and other duties as assigned.
