Job summary

Sweet James LLP in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Medical Lien Negotiator to join our team. You will negotiate healthcare liens across Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, ERISA, and private providers while managing a high-volume caseload.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in lien negotiation within personal injury or workers’ compensation, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and with teammates. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of lien negotiation/resolution experience in personal injury or workers’ compensation.
• Experience negotiating with health insurers, hospitals, and medical providers.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Spanish bilingual skills preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and resolve pre- and post-settlement medical liens.
• Handle Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, ERISA, health insurance, hospital, EMS, and private provider liens.
• Communicate with government agencies, insurance carriers, hospitals, and medical providers.
• Maintain accurate lien documentation and electronic case files.
• Manage deadlines and a high-volume caseload efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to reduce liens and maximize client recoveries.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams as needed.
