Job summary

Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level librarian to provide reference and instruction services to faculty, students, and staff. Under supervision, you will develop library skills training through classes, LibGuides, online tutorials, and other materials, while supporting research, clinical and educational needs by responding to information requests and developing search strategies.

You will contact departments, present at meetings, and contribute to library services while staying

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS (ALA-accredited) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of library experience.
• Experience with health sciences information resources and databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver library training activities for medical/graduate education.
• Provide reference service and perform literature searches across databases.
• Promote library resources to departments and faculty, staff, and students.
• Maintain LibGuides webpages with current content.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current in biomedical librarianship.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
